What is Your Clash?
Day 240. 114-126
Mrs. Dr. Sunshine needs more exercise. Her words, not mine. This came up during our sunrise walk. We obviously have a lot on our plates, but surely there is time for a 30 minute workout? After all, it is a core element to our work in wellness. So, I asked her, "What is your Clash?" What I meant was, "What is your time suck?", as that is where the time for the workout shall come from. My time suck is the game Clash Royale. It is silly, but it is fun, and actually does involve some strategy and quick thinking to compete. That said, if you are not familiar with it, save yourself and DO NOT look it up in your phone's app store. The Little Sunbeams convinced me to play it a few years ago, and I'm still going strong. Ironically, they have moved on to other stuff. I knew this would happen, which is why I resisted vehemently for about a year before finally relenting. I am gradually recovering; unplugging in the Adirondacks really helped. And backing off from that is where I am finding all sorts of time to accomplish other goals. But the moral of the story is that there is always room for the important stuff. I know there are lots of responsibilities in our lives and only so many hours in the day, but "Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished" -Lao Tzu.
