Timing is Everything

Day 96, 64-32

Dr. Sunshine

The sun is on a roll, approaching a 6:30 scheduled appearance! I am very excited to be reclaiming that morning hour lost by stupid Daylight Savings. But the little Sunbeams are going through a growth spurt and need their rest. Today was the first day they missed sunrise in months. They were zonked out and I couldn't bear to disrupt their angelic slumber. Even the dogs seemed to know better. Chunk refrained from his usual belly flop into their beds. So I got out quick for pre-sunrise and then ducked back in to assist Mrs. Dr. Sunshine with leashing up the dogs, and we sneaked out for an abbreviated walk. The sunrise was beautiful, but you'll have to take my word for it. I didn't have the luxury of lingering as the sun rose and inevitably created increasingly better pictures. The kids slept about an hour past sunrise! As important as light is, good sleep is vital too. I trust our bodies to know what they need, when they need it and all will be sorted in due time.
