Dr. Sunshine

I was going to point out how time is running out on getting to .500 with respect to sunny mornings vs, cloudy. To get there we need over 60% of the remaining days to be sunny. But that is such an arbitrary thing, and actually really meaningless. This experiment is about so much more than the actual sun exposure. For starters, it's all about the light, even if it isn't directly warming my face. Then there is the establishment of a rhythm, resetting my internal clock. There is the change to how I perceive my world. There is the establishment of a healthy habit. There is the pride of setting a big goal and accomplishing it. A wise man I knew was fond of saying , "If you can do something about it, why worry? If you can't do anything about it, why worry?" I cannot control the weather, the clouds, or the sun. I can control what I do with it, how I take it in and how I embrace it. At the very least, I can control the U-Haul that takes me to Florida. (Just kidding). I will continue to keep the tally, because it will be fun to see where we end up. I just had to remind myself of the real prize here.
