I Need a Real Camera

This was really disappointing. There was no rising sun this morning, but there was a setting moon. Even though it was foggy, to my eye the edge and all the craters were very clear. But I could not get it to come through with my phone camera. Today was not a "what I see is what you get" sort of day. I swear I have gotten these sorts of photos with my phone in the past, but I may be misremembering. It was more likely with the really old "prosumer" camera that took great pictures that I was using when I started this blog. It allowed for manual adjustments, but the preset modes worked so well I didn't need to mess around with it and the lens system itself was spectacular, with built in 18x zoom to boot. Ahh, listen to me all wistful. Unfortunately, after a good 15+ years of service something went bad with the sensor and pictures were coming out with all sorts of noise. Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions, shoot me a message. I'm open to dSLR, but I really liked not having to mess around with swapping out lenses, so a good all-in-one is really what I want.
