Dr. Sunshine

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms: human moms, dog moms, cat moms, you name it! I was blessed to have a great mom growing up, and even into adulthood I could count on her for support and advice, albeit sometimes unsolicited! Sadly, she is not with us anymore, but like a tiny AI in my head, I can still hear her sage words whenever I am facing a challenge.

Of course, I would be remiss if I did not mention another awesome mom, Mrs. Dr. Sunshine. Perhaps the best mom ever, she makes it easy for me to be an awesome dad. She is "all-in" when it comes to our kids, and nobody could argue with the results. I love you! Happy Mother's Day, every day.

When it comes to great moms, all I can think about are mitochondria. Moms are to society what mitochondria are to our bodies. Great moms wear many hats, performing all sorts of different jobs. If you have great moms supporting great families, a healthy society follows. The same goes for mitochondria. They do so much more than just make energy, which is important in itself. Keep them healthy and optimized to do those tasks and a healthy body follows.
