What a welcome sight! Nobody had to be anywhere, either, at least not immediately, so we even did a fire. It was a bit of a challenge as the supplies were a little damp, but we (kind of) got one going eventually. I think more than the moisture the difficulty was the air temperature. When trying to get some hot wood and coals in the core, it's a big difference starting from 30 degrees compared to even 50-60, let alone 70-80. I'm going to brush up on my survival skills. Or get a bottle of lighter fluid.
