Do as I Advise, Not As I Do

It's a good thing I have a firepit and cute dogs. It would be very difficult to deal with these gray sky streaks without them.

On that note, I need to address something, because it just keeps coming up. Everybody is different. What works for one, may not work for another. Or one might be more sensitive to a particular biologic insult (eg, blue light, glyphosate, etc.) than another. Now, just about everybody should be at least trying to do what I am with the sunrise exposure and cutting artificial blue light, although even there some may benefit more than others, or some may be able to "get away with" a little more blue light. After that, all bets are off. Every Body needs something different. The one that always comes up is diet. There are a million different diets out there, and at least one person for each that says it works. When I recently suggested to someone they might benefit from a ketogenic diet, their immediate response was "Well, you don't eat keto." To which I (want to) say, "Did you ask for my opinion, or for me to explain what I do?" In case you can't tell, they asked for the former. I am not employing a keto diet right now, because I am not dealing with any inflammation, pain, weight gain, or other pressing metabolic or endocrine issue. They person I was talking to is dealing with one or more of those issues. I have gone into ketosis in the past, and probably will in the future, as I think there is a general health benefit to cycling in ketosis periodically. There are a lot of reasons to try a ketogenic diet, as well as reasons not to. Just as there may be a time and a place (literally) for the Mediterranean Diet, or vegan, or all potato. So talk to your doctor (if they'll give you the time), or a good health coach (like the one at www.HoraiosWellness.com!), or a doctor that will actually spend some time with you discussing these matters (me!), and be smart about how you approach diet and all other aspects of your health and well-being.

For example, if you're a dog you may need to add more twigs or tennis balls to your diet!
